Some Fun Screen Shots

The shots that follow are from one of the pieces of malware that we see often. It's called XP Antispyware 2009 and originates in Russia making these guys lots of money. We call it ransomware because it places itself on your computer without your approval and demands money for it to work properly. The infections that it claims to have found are false positives. The longer you ignore it the more involved it gets in your system.

This is one of our favorites. It pops up down at the lower right of your screen just like the authentic Windows messages. Looks official enough, but if you look closely you will notice the misspelling of the word "prevent" as "pervent" and other gramatical errors. Darn Russians just can't spell.

DON'T DO IT!!!!

NOTICE THE PHONY LITTLE SHIELD AND THE GREAT GRAMMAR!

Buy phone, remote support or just say thanks!
